Alone Time

I just need to get away from everything and everyone.
No anything anywhere.
I need to turn off the noise, close the books, abandon the people around me....
....and just breath.
But I'm suffocating.

Give em the Boot

My good friend let me wear her boots...and I don't want to take them off!
Props to motorcycle cops and jockeys everywhere.

The Magic's in the Makeup

Sometimes I'm flooded with an overwhelming sadness, and I don't know what to do with it. I wish I could share it, but I don't, because that's not something nice to share, like oreos or news about newborn puppies. So I tell it to a bottle, and package it up in a cute little box and a bow, so no one will ever know the ugly hopelessness that's wrapped inside.

Listen to the Static

Maybe if everyone else would just stop talking, I could hear what you're trying to say.

Since when did this ever concern them, anyway?
Of course, none of this even matters when the reciever is busted.

Surrounded by Phonies

If you knew how much of a phonie you were, it would break your heart.
Nobody's buying it.
Stop saying and doing things because you want other people to see you, and do things because that's who you are. You disgust me and dissapoint me, because it pains me to know that no one, not even your best friends, knows how beautiful you really can be.

A Valentine's Day improvement from the years passed.

A friend made me a mix cd yesterday, and so far I'm OBSESSED with this song by JJ. I was even more pleasantly surprised to find most of their artwork has blood spatter all over it. This mix is a confirmation that music is and always will be the best tangible gift anyone could ever give or recieve, which is why I enjoy sharing it on here all the time. Just listen to what I'm listening to; it's beautiful.

All is Fair.

I don't know whether to duck and cover, or fight for this one.

I guess I'm just winging it.

Take it one day at a time, and tread lightly.

But so far this is fun.

Wonderfully Gritty Art

Jon Contino is an AMAZING artist. He grew up in New York City and blames his incredible talent on the environment he was raised, i.e. art, fashion, graphiti, music, and overall craziness. It makes me wish I grew up in a more interesting place. Going to art school just wasn't enough. I especially appreciate the anchor at the top, since I'm about to get a new tattoo of an anchor and I'm thinking of the lettering of it at the moment. However, I think a Bouncing Souls quote might win. I'm pretty sure the quote on the casket is by the Decemberists.

It Is Never My Intention To Hurt Anyone

If you have something to say, SAY IT.
Because I can't read your mind.

Dear Steffy,

If you haven't already, open your ears to Angus & Julia Stone.

They're cute like you.

Sirenity at it's loudest

There have been too many people and places and things lately. I'm not keen on gossip and drama, and that's what people do and make. I don't care who did what where and when. I'm very independant, and sometimes I need to be alone.
Just me, and my thoughts.

sure, she's a heartbreaker, but does she have one?

so cute...i love her voice<3

A Bond that Will Never Die

Well I've gotta hand it to you; you haven't got the best luck doll.
But no matter how much down and out you are, I always have got your back, because that's what friends are for.
Flat broke, but hey we do it in style; paint the world with our smiles.

new solo album: "Hard Luck Stories"

BEHOLD, The Ike Reilly Assassination, a combination of corroded R & B, furious punk-blues, lounge-pop and classic rock, all laced with giant choruses.

These guys have already become one of my faves. I broke the Smiths/Built to Spill habit on my ipod and cannot stop listening.

Try this catchy little tune on for size:

bring in the funk

Kid beyond does all of his own beat-boxing in the background and loops it..not usually my kind of music but you can't deny the SICK TALENT.
